Q: When should I apply another coat of sealant to my log home?

A: Upon inspection from an authorized log home expert, he may recommend, due to his findings, the following: mildewed areas must be treated and re-coated which may include sealing a whole wall so finish will be even. Also UV rays have a tendency to affect finish, depending on depth of color. It is typical that logs exposed to the sun will degrade faster and need a maintenance coat.
